Transporter 3

Tommorow, November 26th, "Transporter 3" comes out in theaters. Now I've seen both Transporters 1 and 2 and really like the series. Of course there are a bunch of scenes that are fake and and times might seem a little corny but thats what you get with most action movies these days. I've seen a couple of previews on television last night and number three looks really good. There are plenty of explosions, stunts, and of course, car chases. The car driven by Jason Statham, or otherwise known as "Frank Martin" is a beatiful Audi S8 which is fully armored and equiped with a countless number of special features. What makes this film pretty exciting is the fact that right before the mission takes place, a small device is attached to Frank that will explode if he travels more than 75 feet from the vehicle, meaning that no matter what, Frank must stay with his car at all times. All in all the movie looks very promising and I'm definately going to see it shortly after its release.

24 "Redemption"

As any fany of the Fox show "24' already knows, last night at 8pm est, was the worldwide premier of 24"Redemption". In this two hour event, Jack Bauer (the star of the show) is found in a foreign country torn by war and poverty. He's first seen unloading a supply truck to small African children at a local school. It appears that Jack is trying to leave his past behind and has headed to meet up with his friend Carl. At the same time, Jack also finds himself confronted by Frank Tramell, an ellected goverment official whom is sent to Africa to summon Jack Bauer to Court. Jack does not comply with Frank but rather chooses to neglect his responsibility to attend court. When two of the boys go missing, Jack's longtime friend, Carl Benton sets out to look for the boys. He comes to find that one is dead while the other is alive but has been wounded badly. He quickly carries the boy to his jeep and heads back to the school. At the same time, rebel forces have also located the school and are moving in on their location. While Carl makes his way back to the school, Jack is given the task of defending the building from invading forces and keeping the children safe. A short while after Jack disposes of numerous enemies, he is captured and held captive by the militia. Carl eventually shows up and rescues Jack and the children. From this point on, both Jack and Carl lead the children to the United States Embasy where they will be safe from harm. Along the trip, Carl Benton is caught on a landmine and chooses to sacrafice his own life in order to protect Jack and the children. When Jack reaches the embasy, he again is confronted by Frank Tramell whom is in charge of the evactuation process. Jack is suddenly faced with the chose of dodging his court order and putting the children in harm's way, or actually turning himself in and protecting the children. Jack decides to turn himself in to the goverment and the children and both he and the children are able to escape the country just as the gates of the embasy are knocked down by civialians. While all this is going on across the world, the United States is preparing itself for a new female presidet whom already has her hands full with the crisis involving rebels in Africa. After watch the 2 hour premier, I was really excited for the new seventh season which is going to air this January 11th. I'm sure after watching this short preview, most fans cannot wait for season 7 and all it has in store.

Awd Cars

While on my way home last night I came to realize something interesting. I've realized that the number of All Wheel Drive Cars on the road has increased rapidly since about a year ago. A good amount of all the cars I saw on the street were all wheel drive. These cars usually wear the badges of "4matic, X,Quattro" etc. It seems as if more and more people are becoming attracted to these automobiles. I don't find this suprising at all. Automobiles equiped with all wheel drive are better suited to demanding enviornmental conditions such as rain, snow, and ice. These cars offer more stable handling in harsh conditions while also offer an increased level of driver confidence. These vehicles are especially common for those individuals who have families and children. Who wouldn't want to keep their children safe when the roads become wet or slippery.

TopGear On YouTube

A few nights ago, I spent the evening browsing videos on youtube. Upon looking through countless numbers of clips, I came upon something that really caught my eye. I had come across a good number of clips from the BBC show "TopGear". For anyone who doesn't know about this program, it's an entertaining show about cars that can be both entertaining and educational as well. Just from watching a few minutes of any given episode, you'll learn a few facts about the latest automobiles and vehicles. The three presenters of the show, Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, and James May are very entertaining. Whether they're testing out a new car or bulding some kind of contraption only to destroy it, they've always got something in store for the audience. Now what i do not like about the show is the simple fact that it is not regularly broadcast in the United States. It is on the BBC American channel once in a while, but it's usually only reruns. I've found that Youtube has become an excellent site for those individuals who love to watch the show. Users who are privlaged to watch the show live are able to record it and post it on the site, for other fans around the world to watch.

Election Day 2008

Today, Novemeber 4th 2008 is a day that will go down in history. It is election day 2008. The two candidates running for president as you may already know are Senators Barack Obama and John Mccain. Millions of Americans have headed out to the polls to cast their votes on whom may be the next president of the United States. Infact, it was easy to se eearly this morning while i was out, all of the events taking place on this day. People had rushed out to the voting booths to cast their votes while the candidates and their parties made any final preparations for tonight. While i personally feel that it will be very close, I'm still not eligible to vote because I'm still only 17 years old. Looking at what both of these candidates have to offer, I think that ither one will bring change to the nation in a number of positive ways.

Technology and How it is used in the University

Technology is everywhere around us. It is used in every part of our lives, whether it be personal or in a community setting. One place that technology is really being used greatly is the university. Technology is used in the university to help bring people together, both students and faculty alike. It is used to organize files such as student's records, attendence, and assignments. It is also used for research. Any kind of information that must be researched can be easily found on the internet which is used by millions of people each day. Through the internet, answers to questions could be found much more quickly than in books or in a library. I feel that technology does indeed work if used properly by the user. All the information and tools are already at your disposal, it's just a matter of using them correctly.
